Deb's Design Lab is based in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne.​ We're a small, local business. Your individual order means so much!

How long do orders take to be processed?
During off peak times your orders will generally be completed within a few working days. During peak times i.e lead up to Christmas, Easter, Mothers Day etc, production time can be up to 2 weeks plus postage time. Postage can also take up to 2-3 weeks during busy periods.

If I have an urgent order, can I get it made faster than usual?
We are happy to accommodate as much as we can by processing your order “next in line” – delays in postage is not in our hands. If express postage is requested please contact us directly for a personal quote.

Is local pickup available and where?
Yes, local pickup is available from Bundoora, VIC (3083).
Where do you deliver/ship to?
We ship Australia wide except to WA. Unfortunately at this stage, shipping is still quite expensive to Western Australia that we don't offer it as a standard delivery area. However, if you have your heart set on having something sent to WA, please get in touch and we can discuss delivery fee.
How are your pieces made?
We laser engrave (burn) and cut the wooden products using a laser cutting machine. The engraving is permanent and will not wash away. Printed images are permanently UV printed directly onto our products. No decals/stickers are used. We make all pieces from our home studio and do not outsource any processes.

What are your products made from?
Products are made from a range of materials (glass, metal, wood) and may be noted in the product description. Due to the natural nature of every individual wooden piece there are variations in grain, colourations and texture.
Will I get to see my personalised design before it gets made?
Yes! Absolutely. A proof will be sent to your mobile phone (or email if a mobile number isn’t provided – please check junk mail) for approval. Every effort will be made to contact you for approval however if there is no response the design will be processed as is and sent out within 3 working days.

How many people work at Deb’s Design Lab?
This is a one woman show, from designing, lasering, machine maintenance, finishing products, packaging, marketing, website maintenance, social media content, photography, sourcing new products and customer service.

There are colour variations in the engraving, why?
Different shades in the natural wood ends up with different shades of engraved (burnt) wood. I try to minimise these variations by individually choosing your board that will suit your design.

What are the sizes of the serving boards?
There are a range of board shapes and sizes available.
Large bamboo cutting board - 45cm x 28cm
Round paddle board - 30cm x 40cm (including handle)
Square paddle board - 39.5cm x 26cm (including handle)
Board with knife set - 22cm diameter
Rectangle board - 45cm x 15cm (including handle)
Large rectangle board - 56cm x 18cm (including handle)
